Suspendiendo en el tiempo el momento exacto en que el territorio es sometido a un violento cambio físico,Detonante documenta el paisaje amazónico y las implacables explosiones que lo remueven. En el corazón del valle peruano del VRAEM, donde aún residen tropas del grupo terrorista Sendero Luminoso, se produce y envasa droga para ser exportada del país utilizando pistas de aterrizaje clandestinas en el territorio nacional amazónico. Las detonaciones ejecutadas por el ejército peruano en su compromiso con la Guerra contra las Drogas, nos invitan a reflexionar sobre la idea de la selva virgen y pletórica, donde el supuesto paisaje exótico sin alteraciones establecido en el imaginario se contrapone con la presencia del territorio conflictivo intervenido por las explosiones. A través de la colisión de estos mundos que sacuden el paisaje, las explosiones encarnan el momento decisivo en el territorio es sacudido, transformado.

In the heart of the Peruvian VRAEM valley, where troops of the terrorist group the Shining Path still reside, drugs are produced and packaged in order to be exported from the country using clandestine airstrips on the national Amazonian territory. Suspending in time the exact moment in which the territory is subjected to a violent physical change, Detonante documents the Amazon landscape and the relentless explosions that remove it.The detonations executed by the Peruvian army on their pledge to the War on Drugs, invite us to reflect on the idea of the virgin and plethoric rainforest, where the supposed exotic landscape without alterations established in the imaginary is contrasted with the presence of the conflicted territory intervened by the explosions. Through the collision of these worlds that shake the landscape, the explosions embody the decisive moment in which a land is shaken, transformed.
